Dear Colleagues:
At UCLA, the mental, physical, and emotional well-being of our employees is a top priority. As a key component of wellness, psychological well-being allows people to realize their full potential, cope effectively with life’s challenges, work productively, and make meaningful contributions to their families and their communities.
We are fortunate to have confidential support services available to staff, faculty, and their immediate family members/significant others at the Staff and Faculty Counseling Center (SFCC). The SFCC includes a highly skilled team of licensed behavioral-health professionals under the leadership of Co-Directors Jorge Cherbosque and Nan Levine-Mann.
The SFCC offers one-on-one counseling, as well as department-based training sessions, upon request, that are designed to build a positive and engaging work environment.
In addition, the SFCC offers coaching services to support and assist managers in implementing workplace interventions. Both Co-Directors are available to lend their expertise in helping managers enhance teamwork, create productive work relationships, and support employees who may be facing a sudden and unexpected crisis.
The SFCC eBrochure (PDF), which can be accessed online and is available in hard copy, includes more details on the variety of services at the Center. Please share the brochure with employees in your organization. If you are interested, SFCC counselors are available to come to departments to discuss their services, and provide a brief informational session on select topics, including stress management, emotional intelligence, balancing a busy life, and successful goal setting, to name a few.
I encourage you to use this opportunity to increase awareness regarding the Staff and Faculty Counseling Center’s services. If you have any questions or would like to get copies of the brochure, please contact the SFCC at (310) 794-0245.
Sincerely,
Lubbe Levin
