All staff and faculty at all UC campuses have been assigned the following compliance trainings as part of the University’s efforts to maintain a secure campus and uphold the core values and mission of the UC system:

1) COVID-19 Pandemic: Returning to Work on Campus

  • Must be completed prior to setting foot on campus
  • 1/2 hour course
  • Overview of returning to working on campus during or after the COVID-19 Pandemic
  • Additional Dept. specific COVID-19 training sessions may also be required

2a) UC Sexual Violence and Sexual Harassment Prevention Training for Staff

  • Must be renewed every 2 years
  • 1 hour course
  • Taking the “Preventing Workplace Discrimination, Sexual Violence, Sexual Harassment Training” course fulfills this training requirement.

2b) UC Sexual Violence and Sexual Harassment Prevention Training for Supervisors & Faculty

  • Must be renewed every 2 years
  • 2 hour course
  • This training needs to be completed by all new supervisors/managers within 60 days of their new hire date.
  • Taking the “Preventing Workplace Discrimination, Sexual Violence, Sexual Harassment Training” course fulfills this training requirement.

3a) UC Cyber Security Awareness Training

  • Must be completed once (upon hire)
  • 55 minute course
  • This training needs to be completed by all employees (excluding casual restricted staff) within 60 days of their new hire date.

3b) UC Cyber Security Awareness Training- Refresher

  • Due once per year after completing the UC Cyber Security Awareness Training
  • 35 minute course
  • Excludes Casual Restricted staff

4) General Compliance Briefing: UC Ethical Values and Conduct

  • Due once upon hire

5) Preventing Workplace Discrimination, Sexual Violence, Sexual Harassment Training

  • These two-hour workshops meet the compliance training requirement for managers, supervisor, faculty, and staff.
  • This course fulfills the “UC Sexual Violence and Sexual Harassment Prevention Training for Staff” training requirement.
  • This course also fulfills the “UC Sexual Violence and Sexual Harassment Prevention Training for Supervisors & Faculty” training requirement.

These courses are available for registration on-line through the Learning Management System at lms.ucla.edu. For issues accessing the trainings or questions regarding your training requirements, please contact the HR Systems & Process Improvement Analyst.

Management will receive quarterly reports regarding individuals in their department who are out-of-compliance with any of these trainings. Please ensure that your staff completes these trainings as soon as possible.
